i mean who gave you a "we'll miss you card" when you went away for surgery? we did
who came running up to you and gave you a huge hug the day you got back? we did
who bought you hot wheels cars, a slinky, and other kid toys for your 18th birthday because we remember you saying that you hated growing up? yea, we did

now i wish i could take all the caring back. yea, i lost all respect for you...[LINE] stevo was talking about how we went to disneyland for the night and all i could think was "how wicked cool is that?". jealous. i wished i lived somewhere where i could do cool things like that "for the night" but...
beth and i were driving down vets yesterday and they were putting up all the mardi gras scaffolding. finally. mardi gras is almost here kids. the biggest party of the year. the biggest celebration of culture, ever. beth and i are passionate about our culture. and so is new orleans.
thats what louisiana is all about, mardi gras and the word ya'll...adam it [i]is[/i] a southern thing

for someone who's always lived in the northern part of this great country he should never use the noun "y'all". It's just not right. I don't think he understands the context of "y'all". few do. if you've never tasted king cake, worn shorts on thanksgiving, or eaten gumbo or etoufee you don't know what you're talking about. does he meet those credentials...no. this is a growing problem in today's society. People assume they can just waltz on in to our cajun language and pick it up just like that, oh no no... You have to earn the right to use these prized words. You have to go to failing schools, live below sea level, and live near some kind of bayou or swamp. It's tough being a southerner.
